Monarch Primary School
Ages 6 to 14 years old
A multidisciplinary approach that covers both academic and therapeutic goals is the main objective for our preschool and primary levels.
Groups are formed taking into consideration chronological age as well as development age. This way each classroom has a range of about 3 to 4 years but all students have peers that are sharing similar goals in their program.
Our school remains deliberately small so that we are able to cater to each one of our student’s needs. Each student has a balanced schedule with academic and therapeutic activities throughout the day. The Mexican National Education System provides our academic standards and these are complimented by the Scope & Sequence curriculum. A wide range of one on one therapy services are also provided covering: speech and communication services using the VIS™ Model supervised weekly by the team of professionals from the Boston Children’s Hospital; Occupational Therapy; learning therapy; and Floortime™ play therapy. Each child’s sensory profile is taken into consideration and we provide a sensory diet to promote a better interaction with their surroundings.
The Monarch Model™ also integrates work within four core goal areas that include, self-awareness and self-regulation, relationship development, executive functions and academic competence. The Monarch Institute for Neurological Differences in Houston Texas, USA, supervises our work thus creating an intensive and highly professional for each one of our students.
