“My daughter smiles when she gets to Monarch. That’s a really good sign. She loves going to school. I see the way she looks at her teachers and just know she likes them and feels happy there. I have been doing therapy with her every day, but I’m always racing against the clock and wanted to do more. Someone told me about Monarch and I decided to try it out because it didn’t conflict with the program I was working on—and the people at Monarch actually helped me enhance it!
I have been taking my daughter to school for a few months now and can see she has made progress. She wants to communicate. As mothers of these beautiful babies, we know that, before worrying about them speaking, we need to worry about them wanting to speak, and that there are several ways of doing that. That is how she has been making headway.
She is more connected to her environment, more curious about things around her, and more alert...
I’m always asking God to help me not to make mistakes, to put the right tools and the right people on our path, to keep on helping my baby to move forward, and I’ll take care of the rest. And that’s exactly what He has done!
What am I hoping for? A lot! A whole lot! And we will continue working, praying, and trusting, one day at a time.”
"I have a 5-year-old daughter with development delays Language was the biggest issue for her. She had been in therapy from age 3 but we saw no improvement until we started working with Monarch. We found their method very interesting, decided to enroll her in the program and have seen many positive changes since the day she joined Monarch in August 2012. She is much keener to communicate, says several words and is trying to say more. She used to get very frustrated and often threw tantrums, but Monarch has helped her control her emotions.
I know we still have a lot of work to do, but we know she’s in the right place to achieve her highest potential. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Monarch for helping us on this long and difficult path.
When someone we know well told us that a Monarch School was about to open in Mexico, we took the time to find out what it was all about. We have always wanted the best for our daughter, so we looked into their methods and scheduled a meeting with JenniKate Estavillo. We felt we could trust them right from the start. That was the fundamental reason why we decided to move our daughter to Monarch.
I have to admit it wasn’t easy. We are very serious about our daughter’s education, and there was nothing quite like Monarch in Mexico at the time. But we found Monica and JenniKate very professional and saw that they know what they’re doing. Monarch's education system is a long-term option. It sets achievable and measurable objectives. They provide customized, professional care, which is essential for our daughter to learn.
Any skepticism we had vanished as soon as we met and started talking to her ETPs Marimar and Ceci. They clearly know what they are doing and have earned our daughter’s trust—which is not easy. In the short time our daughter has been at Monarch, she has learned a lot, and what she has learned has boosted her confidence, so she is expressing herself more and learning more. But, most importantly, she is a happy girl and she’s happy to go to school.
We are confident that Monarch is making the most of the time our daughter is there, and we have no doubt that we made the right decision. We know that we need to get involved, and that our enthusiasm and drive are the keys to help her to get ahead. That’s why we really appreciate the way the people at Monarch stay in touch with parents, with feedback on a daily basis and in-depth assessments at regular intervals. It’s very reassuring to see that EPTs know what they’re talking about when they come to assessment meetings. They always welcome suggestions and willingly discuss anything directly relevant to our daughter. We also tell Monarch how our daughter is behaving at home, and about our concerns and what we feel could be done better, all the time. They are always willing to listen and open to our suggestions, notwithstanding their method, and their continuous-improvement attitude is remarkable.
The team at Monarch is highly qualified. They are all, at every level, building long-term careers with Monarch Houston’s support and endorsement. We have no doubts in our minds that they want to make a significant difference in all their students’ lives.
We are certain that the key to success is persistence, teamwork and stability, so we are committed to Monarch for the long term…
After 7 months at Monarch Therapy School, we have seen Sebastian become more connected to the outside world, more in control of his behavior and, more than anything else, happier than ever. The team at Monarch has done amazing work!!! Thank you.
We had spent years with Patricio looking for alternative academic and comprehensive support, to help him to develop his potential as best he could, considering the neurological difficulties he has. Without a doubt, Monarch Therapy School is the alternative our son needs. My expectations of him are becoming clearer and more down to earth. Patricio is now a child with neurological differences who is making significant improvements in every field of development, from academic and behavioural standpoints, every day. Monarch Therapy School has been instrumental in our son’s recent achievements.
"It is an honor for me to work with this team of wonderful people who make you see that your work and efforts are worth the whole world! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING".
“We can safely say that enrolling Leonardo at Monarch Therapy School was one of the best decisions we have made for our son’s treatment. There is nothing quite like the Monarch model: it sets tailored objectives and maps out individual plans for each child’s needs, to help them with the core areas that are hampering their development, such as communication, social interaction, academic development, self-awareness and self-regulation. They are constantly coming up with strategies, activities and therapies that allow children to succeed in these areas. They also adapt and enhance plans based on feedback from parents. And their professionalism, dedication and love is like nothing I have ever seen.
Leonardo has grown considerably in a very short time. We can clearly see that the way he interacts with the outside world has changed a lot. Our son is now more aware of the world around him, is trying to interact more with the people he loves, and is keener to communicating. We have also seen progress in his cognitive development.
We are aware that we have a long way to go, but we are certain that walking hand in hand with Monarch they will take us a long way towards our fundamental goal: to make Leonardo a happy child!”
“After several years working with children with neurological differences, and finishing my MA degree abroad, I was excited about working with children with neurological differences again. Luckily, in 2012, I heard that Monarch Therapy School was opening. I applied for a job, and they welcomed me with a big smile. Being part of the team is an unbelievable experience: they welcome you as one of their own as soon as you start, and they are always there to help build your skills. In my past experience, I tried several strategies that might work with children but I was never certain I was on the right track and then, when something worked, I realized I had wasted a lot of time. That’s why I am so thankful I work at Monarch. It uses a model based on interpersonal relations that works and makes sense for the students. And you feel comfortable and confident in what you’re doing when you can count on the team’s years of experience.
The best part of the experience of working at Monarch, is seeing how much progress the children and teenagers make in such little time. They are clearly more alert, aware of their environment, more attentive, and keen on sharing their new interests with us.
I am delighted to be able to help the youngest ones to develop, and seeing the people they are becoming.”
