With an exceptionally low 1:2 faculty-student ratio, the multidisciplinary team at Monarch Therapy School studies each student’s learning and executive style, as well as his or her unique approach to organizing and broaching relational, personal and cognitive functions, in detail. Our faculty uses this information to develop a profile that highlights each student’s strengths to plot out an individual treatment plan. Each student’s schedule is also specifically geared to achieve objectives, and mapped out around his or her therapeutic and educational needs.
Our students’ neurological differences have most likely marginalized them in neurotypical educational settings, depriving them of opportunities to practice their skills in a challenging world.
At Monarch Therapy School, we embrace our responsibility to provide learners with therapeutic support in real-life situations at all times. We guide, challenge, think together with and support our students in an educational therapeutic environment, to coach them in the practices they will need when they interact with their environments.
We have a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, therapists and educators, who work hand-in-hand with the therapeutic educators to develop relationship-based cognitive plans, as well as design tracking and reflection systems that support the students’ work through our Levels System.
The members of the team at Monarch Therapy School have all received training provided by The Monarch Institute for Neurological Differences in Houston TX.
We liaise with international professionals at other Monarch Schools and specialized centers on a permanent basis, with continuous supervisory meetings and participations in various consortia to discuss updates and new strategies within the Monarch Model™. Monarch Therapy School is also proud to provide an opportunity for staff members to participate in ongoing training courses in and outside of Mexico, including work experience.
