When you meet someone for the first time, the two most common questions usually are: What is your name? And; What do you do? In my case, both questions pose some difficulty when answering. To begin with, my name is long, not very common, and quite confusing for some to remember. I usually get called a brand of cosmetics, sold through catalogues, or just one of my names, or the listener may simply forget altogether and come up with a completely different name for me! But once I have explained that my parents couldn’t make up their mind on which name to chose so they combined them both, answering: what it is that I do, comes with a second set of obstacles. Usually when someone asks what I do, I say: “I am the head of school of a therapeutic school”. Again the listener may nod politely trying hard to picture what that means, but every so often I actually get asked: “A therapeutic day school? What is that?”
